I love to see the Temple

I do. I love it. Which is why this past trip down to Sandy has to have been my FAVORITE trip of all.

Up until the end of my freshman year of college I had only ever been to 4 temples. 4 great temples that is...

The Jordan River Temple

The Salt Lake Temple

The Portland Oregon Temple

and The Logan Temple!

All such great temples!

I wanted the experience of the temples down in Sandy, and around there, because I visited SO often and lived there when I was younger, yet hadn't been to that many temples.... until...

It started out Thursday night at 5:30. Lauren, Michael, Caleb, and I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was so fun! I had never been there, and so we decided to go the night I came down to Sandy. It was so fun!

That night, Jerrica came up and stayed the night with me. We woke up bright and early at 6:30 AM and Lauren, Michael, Jerrica and I went to the Draper Temple! It was so fun to go to yet another temple that I had not yet been to!

After the Draper Temple we decided to head back over to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, because Jerrica had NEVER been to it. We headed back over and had a great experience at that temple!

After my second trip to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, we decided on a whim to make a Temple Tour out of our day. We then headed over to the beautiful Jordan River Temple. I hadn't been there in 6 years (since the first time I went to the temple when I turned 12) It was such a great experience!

After the lovely time at Jordan river we headed straight for Temple Square and did baptisms at the Salt Lake Temple. The changing room is one of my favorite parts of doing baptisms there. It is just so beautiful. Lauren, Jerr and I got caught in a trance on the wonderful door knobs.... (:

After the Salt Lake Temple (Temple #4 of the day, 5 for Michael, Lauren and I) we took a small lunch break and headed up to Layton to visit the Bountiful Temple, and the lovely Richie Thomas for his birthday. We saw  Pirates of the Carribean 4 and had a great time as a huge group at the beautiful Bountiful Temple! It was such a great experience to go there with almost all of my friends!

That was all on Friday! Saturday afternoon Kenzee, Jerr, Lauren, Michael and I headed down south to good ol' Provo and picked up Josh and went and visited the Provo Temple and waved hi to the amazing elders in the MTC. We thought we saw a friend of ours and stalked a group of them on the Volleyball court even though it wasn't him!

After dropping Josh off we went up to our last stop of our Temple Tour and visited Mount Timpanogos Temple! It was just about the same as Bountiful, but as Jerr states "It was made first"... We almost didn't make it through, but when the helper found out we were on our 7th temple and had limited time to make it through, they let us in last second and we completed our amazing, spiritually uplifting, friend bonding trip!

We tried to calculate all that we did and overall Michael did a million and ten (exaggeration) baptisms as the baptizer, and Lauren and I were baptized and confirmed for about 101 names. It was such a blessing to be able to go through and do that! I am so grateful for these guys and the great fun and memories that we created together this weekend!

  1. I don't mind that you use the photo of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on your blog, but could you insert the following: Photo (c)2009 by Michael Provard, used by permission.

    Thanks,
