A Dash of Color. A Scoop of Wisdom.

This past week has been filled with crazy fun activities that have made my life excitement-filled.

The weekend of March 26th, my friend Kristy Scott and I drove down to Spanish Fork to the Hare Krishna Temple for the Festival of Colors! It was such a fun experience. There were a lot of weird people there, a lot of kids from Utah State, and even children. All of us were covered in the chalk paint throwing it up in the air. It was so great to start out so clean and be covered in so many colors in an instant of walking to the temple grounds.
 Us before- clean and nice white shirts!

Kristy, afterwards!

Me, afterwards!

It was such a fun experience, but it helped me to realize just how sacred our temples are, and just how grateful I am to have the chance to be strong and able to enter into the temple, where it is clean and white always. Hare Krishna was a fun activity, but I am grateful for the religion that I am part of and what I believe. It was a great activity and SUCH a testimony strengthener to know the power and beauty of my religion.

This last weekend was General Conference! (: I LOVE this time of year. There were many many great speakers and I had the privilege of being able to attend 2 sessions- the Saturday afternoon session, and the Sunday afternoon session. The spirit was so strong there and it was such a great experience. I was able to sit by Kylee Scarcella, my friend who was just converted 2 months ago, and see her reaction to being in the same building as the Prophet, a man who is so powerful and has such a strong standing testimony and a knowledge being anyone I have ever heard speak. It was great!

Although all of the talks were amazing and so strong and spiritual, I had two favorite speakers:
Dallin H. Oaks, and Boyd K. Packer. These two gave amazing talks on desire and standing strong through trials and temptation. Dallin H. Oaks told of a quote that is now my favorite quote:

"Desires dictate our priorities, our priorities shape our choices, and our choices determine our actions."

I just love this quote and it is so true that desires truly lead to who we are as a person.

Well, finals are coming closer and closer and I am studying and getting prepared for those final days, and then I become an official college Sophomore. CRAZY! I am looking for a job, and filling out many applications and have an apartment for the summer. Look who's an adult now?! (;
