Those Moments

The moments you cherish.
The memories you replay over, and over, and over.
The little things that jog your memory.
The wonder of yesterdays.
Those moments are ones that make you smile, but don't dictate your now.

Then there are the moments to come.
The changes that will be made.
The reality hitting when you realize everything has changed.
The excitement for what is to come.
Those moments are what I look forward to.

I'm excited for tomorrow.
and the day after that.
and the day after that.
Excited for improvement.
To better myself.
To become who I want to be.

Here's to the girls:

To the girls who don't wake up with perfect hair.
Who don't mind eating a Big Mac instead of a Salad
Who don't wear 50 pounds of makeup.
Who'd rather spend the day in sweatpants than in skinny jeans.
Who love the comfort of T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Who don't get all the guys.
Who get hurt, but hold back the tears.
Who's not "popular" but feels like it when they're with their friends.
Who stick to sneakers instead of heels.
Who doesn't want a prince charming but just someone to hold their hand.
Who don't mind having their hair messed up once in a while.
Who aren't afraid to break a nail.
Who don't always get their way.
Who don't get everything they want.
Who doesn't need a guy to tell them that they are beautiful and special.
This is for you.

Papa.

My Papa, Ronald Lafarr Page, was the best grandpa ever.

He was-

Amazing.
Thoughtful.
Loving.
Caring.
Serving.
Smart.
Funny.
Candy-loaded.
Priesthood Holder.
Husband.
Dad.
Grandpa.
Great grandpa.

He lived and loved the gospel, and taught us all until his last day of the importance of the gospel, and of his love for it. He lived the gospel with everything he did. Whenever there was something to be volunteered for, a neighbor to be helped, a room to be cleaned, anything, he was there first to do it. He loved his callings and did every part of them well. He loved doing family history, and I am so glad that he did it to find out about our family and bring them together again. Also doing family history for the church to find out other families and bringing them together. He is a man who lived and breathed the gospel, and I am so grateful for that.

He had the greatest love for family, and is one of the main reasons that brought our family so close together. He was always caring, and loving, and there for you if needed. Whether a concert, a game, a play, a recital, or even just for lunch.

Papa and Nana are the best grandparents that people could have. They are so caring and loving and happy. They love being with family and we love being with them. Papa was a great man, and we will keep him in our memories by living in his example. To one day, return to him be with him and our Heavenly Father again.

My Gracefulness is Amazing

Burn my finger on a toaster strudel.
Hit my head on just about everything.
Get faked punched, but in the act get accidentally real punched.
Burn my finger on a 425 degree cooking pan.
Get my toe run over in a door.
Slip getting out of the shower to change the song I was rocking out to.
Run into countless people in the grocery store.
Almost get hit by a car.
Belly flop twice doing aerials off the high dive.
And so much more, all this week....

Wow, good thing my middle name isn't grace, it's Eileen.... I lean and fall over is more like it....
